Hey ya'll. I ran into this problem a while back and I decided to revisit it in hopes I can make this game work. After simple searching I discovered how to make it work. Enough chat; let's jump right into it. So far I only have the US version.

Requirements
-You must login or register to view this content. PKG
-CFW PS3
-FTP Server
1. When you have your downloads all done FTP to your PS3.
2. Find the directory where you placed Episodes from Liberty City. My backup is located in dev_hdd0→GAMES→Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City.
4. Go back to the FTP session. On the main directory make a new directory and label it GTA_EFLC.
5. Move the USRDIR folder from dev_hdd0→GAMES→Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City to the new directory you just made. Move everything except the EBOOT.
5½. Let me be a little more clear. After you have moved the USRDIR folder your new directory will look like this: dev_hdd0→GAMES→Grand Theft Auto Episodes From Liberty City→USRDIR. Move the folder not the contents.
6. Place the PKG file on a flash drive and install it VIA Install Package File.
7. You will see the game on the XMB under the Game tab.
8. Restart the system.
9. Start the game from the XMB.
10. The game will launch and you can now bow down.

I defeated!
i thought this was the wrong section,i thought it should be in the GTA IV thread but i got -REP for agreeing with someone so im sorry,maybe i should just leave this place all i get is groans and -REP for trying to help people.

This is a game backup. Which is a hack thus making this the correct section. Maybe you should think. Thats probably why you get - rep.

The main directory is where dev_hdd0, dev_usb1 and stuff like that. That's where you put it. I said the whole USRDIR folder not the contents. I should add that you need to keep the eboot as a backup just in case.

yes but this is playstation hacks not playstation game back ups,but i don't care i don't even have this game for PS3

A backup game is a hack done in ps3 only, ps3 exclusive. No way that this thread goes in the gta IV section, there's people that hate hacks and are in 360 in that section... It would be lovely if a backup game wasn't a hack :carling:

OK in simple words.. I moved the USRDIR out the GTA Directory in GAME, and placed it in the GTA_EFLC folder. then install the PKG, and restart ps3. but when i click on the Eboot on the XMB to launch it just gives a black screen and sits there.. o yeah and i diddnt copy the Eboot file with the USRDIR.. Help...
