I have yet to upgrade to 3.60 and when I tried to put a custom firmware on (first geohotz, then kmeaw's) well put on USB and seen if PS3 would detect them as updates. Until today it never worked (I tried once before 3.60 came out and -no updates found)
Is it safe? Or is there something inherent about 3.56 that when you update with older firmware that is hacked it will mess up your ps3.

what do you want to no are you wanting to update to 3.60 after trying to add cfw to 3.56 if so then you got nothing to worry about just update m8 you be fine but if your asking if you can downgrade from 3.56 then no not at the mo but you never no in a few month someone might come out with a downgrade i dont no seeing as i dont hack so it up to you m8

My understanding is that you cant go from OFW 3.56 to kmeaw's 3.55 that was my understanding till this morning. I have not tried it but my ps3 is detecting the update as a update (not 3.60 but 3.55 CFW). I have not heard of that happening before and before i actually try and update i wanted to calc the risks but seeing what others have done and experienced.

what ever you trying to do will not work as i bet a lot of people would of try this as well you cant just put in 3.55 and your on 3.56 to downgrade it wont work sorry m8
