Rename REBUG_3.55.1.PUP to PS3UPDAT.PUP

Yea its named wrong, like the PS3 3.55 CFW, you have to name it PS3UPDATE.PUP so the console will detect it.

Ok, So I just got a PS3 on 3.55 yesterday, and I'm having the same problem. I've re-named it, and nada. No Applicable Update Data was found.....When I downloaded it from MegaUpload, I wasn't able to open the file. So I just copied it into my PS3>UPDATE>and placed it in that new file. What's wrong with it?

make sure the usb folders are in CAPITALS and set it out like the following picture

You need to unpack it first with WINRAR. You will then have a .pup file which you rename to PS3UPDAT.PUP

I downloaded WINRAR....and now uh....how exactly do I unpack it?
