(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi All!

I currently have a 3.55 cfw ps3 (kmeaw). But sometimes i feel like supporting the developers. I wanna buy Mortal Kombat (the new one) and NOT rip it. I know it needs to be patched using a .pkg file to play on your 3.55. However i want to know if can patches work with original game disks? I mean, yes, the RIPPED Mortal Kombat game will run if patched. But my question is that if it will still work on 3.55 using THE ORIGINAL DISC + Patch? Without ripping it? (as i have said i want to support them) .

Hope you guys understand my question lol.

Thank you! ^^

Well yes you are supporting them by buying the game. But the eboot.bin needs to be patched to play games on 3.55. and yes the eboot.bin is on the disc.

So to play the game. you will need to back it up to your ps3. (this shouldnt bother you as you have bought the game and are supporting the developers!)

Then run in multiman and it should patch the game to work. Smile if not send me a message and ill send a link to a fix Smile

Thanks! Smile

In my experience games will work exactly the same off of an external hard drive as they will off of an internal hard drive (the one used by the PS3 itself).

Even if they have a big file that is larger then 4gb, you can use a tool (psarc) to extract the contents from that file, and then you can use that extracted information on the external hdd to play. Smile
