and if it is possible why cant we have a 3.55/3.60 hybrid with psn access and the system files or files that allow 3.60 games to play on the 3.55 hybrid? so i can play portal 2 and Final fantasy 13 - 2 and MW3 when it comes out.:n00b:

it had 3.60 spoofer files in the firmware

so that u wouldnt need to spoof the version for psn access

the passphrase in that cfw is the old 3.55 passphrase and u will be prompted to update your firmware to get on psn

yes but is it still possible install 3.60 files on a 3.55 to make it at least think it's a 3.60 and maybe with the new psn auth keys or do you need the whole new 3.60 straight forward cfw?

if your wanting it just to play 3.60 games then it wont work

the 3.60 games use the new 3.60 keys to encrypt the files

so a 3.55 ps3 cant decrypt the eboot from the game because it doesnt have the keys to do so

i think also if u was to slipstream the 3.60 key files into 3.55 u would be stuck at 3.60 because the keys would change i think

Damn, this is older than that ps3ita firmware and a spoof won't help u get online or play games like portal 2.

Some news showed up about it but I have yet to see a release. It was originally being done by KMEAW but then poof. Nothing happened.

^^ No it wasn't, he was working on Linux/CFW dual-boot and people misconstrued his words as OFW/CFW.

this has been answered thoroughly by ozza so i can only back up what he says this is an old release that someone has probably bumped on the other site so it caught your eye! I would have loved this to have been true!!
