They probably just put a piece of crap, slow drive into it.


Using FTP I can transfer files to my PS3 at around 25MB/s which is around 250Mbit/s. I don't think that a whole lot of people have those download speeds at home so I think it will work just fine to use for seeding and stuff.

that would only work on a debian/ubuntu distro, not all linux use apt-get package management

op the majority linux desktops have their own torrent clients, qBittorrent handles very like utorrent
and they have their own archive managers usually built in, where you just right click a rar type file and extract

linux isnt windows !! Happy

Ubuntu, and Backtrack I believe have it.
you could always try

yum install transmission
