straight up, is it possible to downgrade to 3.55 cfw from 3.60 via usb, while psn is down and Sony can't motor?

PSN has nothing to do with your current firmware and the problem isn't that Sony is "watching".

It has everything to do with the fact we (the scene) do not have full access to 3.60 as of yet.

If a downgrade were possible(it isn't, yet) the rootkit in your 3.60 firmware would be rendered useless and Sony wouldn't be able to do a thing about it.

yeah but i mean like straight up plugging in a usb with like geohot 3.55 on it and directly update from that

The 3.60 PS3 would reject it and claim that no update data was found.
