Modern Warfare doesn't work on backups.

i have this problem too

Call of Duty 4 does work from a backup but it only works from an external drive it won't work from internal.

Just follow this It worked for me.
1. Transfer Cod4 to external
2. Delete old patch and install You must login or register to view this content.
3. Run game using Select+X

Try this
1. Install You must login or register to view this content.

2. Copy Cod4 USRDIR to dev_hdd0/"whatever your game folder is"/USRDIR

3. Delete DEFAULT_MP.BIN, DEFAULT_SP.BIN, EBOOT.BIN

4. The game can now be launched like a PSN game

DaMN too late i deleted the game from my ps3 ill try it 2morrow coz i got skool tomorrow
