I would like to be able to have the ps3 by-pass the psn network and connect to my server. I would like the users to be able to log in like they would for psn.

My logic would be that you just have to modify a file on the ps3 to tell it were to connect to. And then put the files on it that would tell the ps3 to connect to which ever ps3 happens to be the host.

Is this possible? And if so is anyone interested in helping me?

You could possibly do it but you would need to have a very strong paid server with the nessary files to run psn on them, programs on every users computer to re-route all the official servers to your custom servers, it would be illegal to do because it could collect and steal personal information, and overall it wouldn't work as planned.

I dont want to run psn on the server, i meant to mod the ps3 in a way where the ps3 logs into my website rather than psn.

And couldn't a program be made to modify the files on the ps3 to change where the game connects to, or a program on the ps3 that stops the ps3 connecting to the official server and connects to my server and tells the ps3 that its connected to the official site.
