(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello

First off, im a first time poster on this forum so if i am in the wrong section i apologise Smile

Anyway, i have just bought a 160gig ps3 on sunday and have some questions about jailbreaking.

I would like to say first that i am not planning to ever use it for online play (im not going to ever connect it to the internet)

I have read that jailbreaking is good but is it safe? what are the pro's / con's of jailbreaking?

If i buy a game in the shop and bring it home will the game make me update my firmware? (ive read somewhere this could happen or something along those lines can happen, can someone explain this?)

And also could someone please tell me the best / safest jailbreak to use and the software i should get associated with it?

I know its a bit of a noob question but i like to know about something like this before i do it

Smile have a good day

New games will not currently work with CFW, though in time they could. If your system is past 3.55 you can't jailbreak it. If you jailbreak you can't update trophies or use the PSN store, though again this could change. Rebug is probably the best CFW, though I use Kmeaw. Software is up to you.

Not really any cons, except no online on the normal network.
You need to be on 3.55 firmware or lower, and just update to rebug custom firmware. You can download from rebug.me
