My first post so be gentle with me

Trying to get PSP PS3JIG to work as I have no other jig emulator at the moment.

I get the challenge and response ok and all looks like it should have worked but the PS3 just boots to XMB instead of turning off like it should.

Turn off PS3 from back switch
Start PS3JIG on PSP and connect USB cable to PS3
Turn on PS3 and do the power on followed by eject
Get the challenge and response and all done on the PSP but PS3 just boots normally

Tried this with a PSP1000 and PSP1003 both running 5.50 GEN-D (FULL)

Tried both PSP's on both my PS3's cechl03 fat 80gb 3.55 ofw and cechg03 fat 40gb 3.55cfw

In every combination get the correct challenge response but PS3 just boots normally.

Just wondered if anyone managed to get this working and if so what PSP, firmware, PS3, firmware etc etc it has worked on or suggest anything?

Firstly, wrong section. There is a section called "Hacks and Exploits Questions.

The project was long gone and abandoned. They got everything for the PSP to s longload and etc, but thy couldnt get the driver or make the PSP usb controller act as a HUB.

This is the BrandonW hack and as far as im aware its only been out a few weeks

I appreciate this type of thing is not as usefull as it used to be with the advent of cfw but its still another way to get the ps3 into factory service mode and it has worked for some people
