(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Ok spent the last few days trying to repair a PS3 fat 80gb with RSOD. ofw 3.10

Dont know how it got this way as I bought it like that.

PS3 will go into recovery mode and factory service mode.

It took me a while but finally managed to use PS3JIG to get the PS3 into Factory service mode.

Well to cut a long story short i've tried every fix out there.
Tried every option in the recovery menu.
Tried reformatting hdd in pc
Tried the various downgrade fixes using factory service mode.
Ive been from 3.10 to 3.55 to 3.55cfw (3 different flavours) to 3.41(3.56) to 3.41 to 3.15

All the updates have ran as expected but PS3 still boots to RSOD.

I think there is 3 distinct types of RSOD

HDD corruption - this is easily fixed with a firmware reload or filesystem fix from the recovery menu

Corrupt upgrade/downgrade flash - Fixable with a firmware reload via recovery menu or factory service mode.

Nand gone bad or unmapped bad blocks - Pretty sure this is what I have as all other fixes dont work.
Looking in to some sort of hardware nand reader / writer - infectus possibly

However, with the all the cfw and modded Lv2diag files I would have thought someone somewhere would be able to write something to write and read to the nand via software?

Wondered if anyone has been or is working on this?

Forgot to add - also thinking of doing a reflow on the Nand chips

Highly unlikely this is a solder problem on chips that run relatively cold but cant see it doing any harm

Hey buddy Ive pretty much got the same prob, I semi updated my console to 3.60 in factory service mode on 3.56 OFW, it loaded the firmware ok but when it went to install after it auto rebooted it got stuck at 0% and went to RSOD..
Ive got a quick question on how you managed to get your console into factory service mode Im using a Eclips3 dongle with downgrade firmware install on it.. just wondering if you can send me a link to download your jigs firmware. and give me a tut on how you managed to get it in FSM.. after it went RSOD??
