(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello guys, I am having problems with my WD Passport 1TB formatted to FAT-32. I cannot get my PS3 to recognize it. I have re-formatted it a ton of time's and it just doesn't work. But if I try using it on a PC it works fine and my other External HDD works fine on my PS3 it's just this one and it's so annoying I have searched everywhere and I've found nothing. I also tried defragging and I also scanned it for errors and had no luck. I really need to get this thing working and I would really appreciate some help. If any of you can lead me in the right direction ill give you a shit load of Vbux.

Try this formatter:
You must login or register to view this content.

Then plug it in before you turn the PS3 on...

Have you tried formatting on a Linux PC/ Other PC?

If it doesn't work I would ditch the WD and get a seagate... (Because thats what I did)

Nope it has nothing to do with my PS3. Today I used a different external HDD and it worked fine. I may have removed the 1st partition that isn't supposed to be removed maybe thats why it's not working because it worked before I formatted it to Mac OS X then to FAT32 and it doesnt work now. ):
