yeah that was kind of the same thing i had in mind....but i was wanting u guys to experiment!

I Was Hoping To Swap the Update Files From 3.61 and 3.55 then edit the licence so it would accept the files and edit the update.txt file to 3.61 so the system thinks its updating to 3.61 but with a different firmware but... i need a tool to sign it and a tool to repack it, iv put the idea through so if i fail hopefully someone else will take over and get it right!

okay, hypothetically, i open 3.61 in this program, i copy same hacked files from 3.55 CFW but keep it named 3.61, somehow re convert the files back to the original .pup file, and plug that baby into my ps3, im good as hacked? i've already got the files set for the 3.55 but i just don't know how to convert it to .pup, help? im not much of a hacker lol....

Yea, already posted. Also, unless you have the 3.60+ keys you will not be able to re-pack any the .pups, at least not ones that will be read by a PS3 on 3.60+ firmware.
