Just can't seem to find a working eboot/patch. Not sure what I am doing wrong.

Nope you don't. Just download and transfer. I got mine working because it was a bad download. Download one size is 4.56GB and second one is 4.76GBs once extracted.

I was having similar problems with loading this backup via the patch on KMEAW 3.55. I did however get it to work in an odd way.

I backed up the game with multiman 2.00
Patched the SFO with multiman 2.00
installed the update
used rogero manager 8.2 to load the game

The odd part is that multiman refused to load the game, it kept giving error codes.
but the first time i mounted it with Rogero, it worked.

Hopefully this will be useful for someone else,
Peace

Tried to update last night, but for some reason, I couldn't hit the site. If any other noobs are reading this, maybe they can benefit from me repeating a bit of info on how I did it:
On Kameaw 3.55, I used MultiMan 2.0.4 to rip the retail disc to my internal HDD and my USB thumbdrive to transfer the update. Replaced the SFO from the package via MultiMan's file manager. Installed the "update" pkg from the XMB. Thing runs perfect through MultiMan with a disc in the drive and the ORIGINAL EBOOT.BIN.

My biggest problem was that the packages I found out there in the interwebs came with an eboot.elf. Seeing as how my Cygwin doesn't like me right now, I had all kinds of elf to bin issues. Finally I smacked myself in the head and just ran the package with the supplied SFO and original EBOOT.BIN

Yeah, well, it isn't for everyone. This game plays almost identical to the Atomic Edition from way back. COD fans will probably hate it, because the gameplay is purposely primitive. Duke 3D fans are loving it. Non Duke players who didn't experience the small 3D Realms advancement in the industry probably won't get it. I for one am an old duffer and dig it. Now... Shadow Warrior? Awesome face

lol i loved Duke Nukem 3D, played the shit out of it. I considered myself a Duke Nukem fan till they dropped this game... i mean, c'mon, these "duke fans" you're refering too are just blinded only by the name of the game. "omg it's duke". But whatever man, if you like picking up shit from the toilet and throw it around and getting a trophy for it, i guess that's cool. Just not for me lol

Meh. Is what it is. I for one like the oldschool camera and flow. I think it is a nice break. To me, it plays like I just got a new edition of the same game. Granted, it isn't anything groundbreaking, and there isn't much replay value. I am still glad they finally release SOMETHING.

some games require a blu ray ps3 game to be in the drive.. so that could be the reason that its trying to read the disk and no disks are present...
