Intelligent answers only please. I want in depth answers, as I have no idea on what to do with the POS other than to use it for target practice with my 12 gauge.

You should update your ps3, as there is no way to play online with 3.55 firmware, or while using custom firmware. You have to be on original firmware to play online, and that seems to be what you would prefer. You could use your ps3 to play back ups, free full games, but then you couldn't play online. Just update to the newest firmware.

if you update to OFW you will be able to play online
if you update to rebug or kmeaw for example you can do everthing the same as geohots but its much easier to play backups/free/downloaded game


also socom 4 is good idk about multi player but single is good i just have the backup so i cant play online

If I were you I'd keep your PS3 jailbroken, then buy & play multiplayer games on your 360. The PS3 can still be used to pirate single player games, if that's what you're into of course

Oh and try "updating" to 3.55 OFW first, try out the recently half-released QA flag tutorial
