(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); If a downgraded ps3 is connected to an update one, you do the back up through ethernet cables right? So it transferes patches.

Cant somebody just script a computer program to trick the ps3 into thinking its connected to a ps3 and transfer the data over?

In theory it's possible, however it would be stupidly difficult to execute. Not worth bothering with IMO.
