Post: Data Transfer to Mod Question
06-23-2011, 10:15 PM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey, guys.
First I would like to say that I'm sorry if this was posted in the wrong section.
I'm not doing this to make people pay me for mods. Just for my fun and others.
One of my modder friends suggested I go to NGU to get mods.
I have checked many threads and have found none that answer my main question.

I'm wanting to mod online multiplayer and zombies on World at War on my PS3. It was updated to 3.66 yesterday, and it's not possible to put a CFW on it. I was wondering if I could buy a second PS3 FW 3.55 or under and put a CFW in it, put patches in it, data transfer the patches to my updated PS3, then return the new PS3. Would the mods stay on my PS3 after I turn my updated PS3 off and return the new PS3?
Would I lose all of my data and DLC and games I have downloaded my PS3?
I read about backing up the system, would I be able to back it up on a computer?

Thank you

Edit: I think the new update will prevent people from data transfering. Can anyone help, please?

Thanks for your help. Would I lose my game save too? Not a big deal, just wondering. Also, is there any way I can move this thread to the right section?

Saw this a few hours after I posted this. I also updated the post. If you look at the pic, it says I can't data transfer unless both systems are updated.

thats not new...

you need to have both PS3 in the same firmware version and psn account to do data transfer.

if your OFW is 3.66 then you are screwed bcuz there is no 3.66 spoof that you can use to do this....:lol:

you need at least 3.65 ofw bcuz there are 3.65 spoof for CFW :lol:

bad luck.

I could just wait for a 3.66 spoofer then. I'm gonna try a 3.65 spoofer first.
