Now when i come on here i always see CFW trophy hacks or OFW trophy hacks, now if you are on custom firmware you obviously cannot connect to online to sync them so what is the use?

I just wanted to make a suggestion.
First, the ps3 saves your console id in a file, mainly a ".sfo" file, now no console will read other id's, so you cannot run other saves from other users on your system.
So my big question/task is can you try this someone, if it has been tested just notify me and tell me the results.

What i was thinking is you could download a save onto your custom firmware then transfer to your updated ps3, (The console id will not effect anything, because you have data transfered the ps3 knows that both consoles are owned by you).
Once you have done that simply sign into psn and go on the game and see if your trophy's unlock.

Please Note:
You must not unlock the trophys before transfering, otherwise they will defenatly not unlock because the ps3 knows you have already unlocked them.

When somebody has tried this, either pm the result or simply quote me.

first off trophies are stored in a .dat and a encrypted . trp file it is a long winded explanation i dont fill like typing why you cant hack trophies.

Trophies aren't saved it your save files (well most aren't). The only way I see it happening if you data transfer from a CFW>OFW, but I'm not sure if it copies over the trophy folders.

Yeah, but pretty much EVERY CFW hacked trophy are saved in the trophy folders and not the save. So it really useless to just copy the saves.

It just botheres me.

1st) i have not mentioned anything to do with .dat files that the trophies are allocated in.
2nd) im saying put a hacked save that some one has made/done and put it on your ps3, then transfer to your original ps3 and see if they unlock, not edit/modify the .dat file...

no there not!, no one edits the trophy folders they edit folders in the game that cannot be accessed unless you have a hacked ps3, the reason why you cannot access them is because they contain trophy information that the ps3 doesnt need a console id for, so people would be able to edit them with ease

no trophies are saved in the saved game files they are all saved in the trophy files on the ps3 but the challenges are saved on the save game or in a .sfo/.sfk file that notifys the ps3 that you have unlocked the challenge for then the ps3 unlocks it and prints it on the screen, if you do not understand this do not post silly comments (not having a go, just bored of repeating myself)
