Post: Possible way around 4gb HDD backups?

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Considering that the way Multiman works, what if you use a blu ray burner to burn the directories onto a blu ray disc and eliminate the 4gb issue? Blu-ray discs can hold past 4gb, and Multiman should detect it like it does the games, correct? I'm not going to spend money on a blu ray drive for my PC currently, but if this is possible then it would be a fairly good option.

i dont think you can do that with ps3 games....you could just use an ntfs hdd to transfer the games to the ps3 hdd via multiman

Do you think you can burn a small game onto a disc and see if Multiman recognizes it?

I just use Split4G. It's really easy to use and since multiman now has support for split files, I don't need to copy over to internal. Just did this last night with GoW collection. You just drag your game folder over to the first area, then set the second area to your external "GAMEZ" folder. Set the split file thing to part.666 and hit start. When it's done it'll boot up perfectly in multiman.
