Upon finding this site i found many useful tips and what not and discovered it was possible to create a working lag switch even with this router/modem. I dug around in the closet until I finally found my old Linksys WRT54G router. Then, using tips from this site, I turned it into a very functional hub. I now have a very nice working foot pedal lag switch that manages around 25 seconds of lag time. Thank you everyone. Here are some pics.

cod 5 or 4?

Well I have both, but i'm usually on 4

well cod4 once u get host, u cant lose it unless you end the game.

What i meant was I get first in room, but then once the room begins filling, I lose it to someone else.

what your descrbing above happens on cod waw

host only migrates on cod5 so u may not be the first in the room as you think because cod4 host stays with whoever got there first use speakeasy.net/speedtest for speedtest open 4 tabs and run on 4 different areas then when one of the tests says testing upload start ur match and u will get host 99 out 100 and in waw you can stop host migration by holding the switch until the host migrating message in the top right goes away.

In WaW when i try flipping the switch when migrating it just closes the lobby

yea the COD 4 one bothers me the most. Even when i'm first it still changes hosts
