(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hi Guys

I am just after some advice. I only want to do one thing and that is remove game data and restore game data when I want to.

This is basically for black ops map packs. I know I can just delete the game data and the map packs will be deleted. If I want them back I just download them again as I have legally brought them. But I have a slow internet connection and the total is about 4.5GB.

Is there a way I can temporary jailbreak backup the game data to disk and then remove the jailbreak. Obviously then when I want to put them back on temporary jailbreak put the game data back on and remove the jailbreak.

This may seem strange but this is just due to my internet connection speed.

Thanks in advance.

If I remember correctly when you backup the PS3 using the backup utility or whatever it's called game data is included with it so just try that.. and if it works use that Awesome face

Your correct it does save the game data, but if you want to restore you have to restore the whole backup, basically overwriting anything that I many have downloaded since. Wish I could just restore part of the backup eg just the game data.

Am currently looking at a Live Linux bootable disk, I am a computer programmer by trade and deal with linux all day long, so may be able to boot into a linux enviroment which would access the PS3 disk and transfer the game data to a network share. Not sure how easy it is to get PS3 with 3.66 to boot a linux disk.

Anybody have experience with this ?

Thanks
