(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); i have 2 ps3's, a slim 250 gig on 3.55 firmware,and a phat ps3 80gig on 3.10 firmware(apparently the blueray drive is strange but i see no problem with it) i want to be able to have one legit ps3 and one hacked, and i want to be able to use the hacked one to play backups and be able to sync trophies so i can have those trophies on my legit ps3. i want to use the slim as my legit(got a 500 gig usb hdd if i ever need room on the phat), can anyone tell me what to do so i can get things to work like that?, what are some more advantages of this?, and what CFW should i use?

Update one of your PS3's to 3.55, then put it on REBUG custom firmware. It's the best. You can do this by going here to download the official 3.55 firmware: You must login or register to view this content.

Put the PS3UPDAT.PUP file on your USB drive. Put it in the folder called PS3. Make a folder called UPDATE, and put that folder in there. So, you will have your USB/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP -

Now, get whatever CFW you want, probably REBUG, since it's the best.

Do the same thing you did with the OFW, and then update your other PS3 to the recent update.

Once you got your stuff from your hacked PS3 to your good one, then go to system settings and use the data transfer utility. You will need a ethernet cord to connect to both of your computers.

so the 80 gig phat got nothing on it, my 250 gig got rebug on it, so what do i do so i can use my arcade games from my slim to my phat? is that what data transfer is for?, and does that enable me to transfer trophies data so i can sync them?

no, you can't play custom firmware games online. you just keep those games on your CFW PS3 and play them. data transfering is so you can put everything (including game data files) on your new Ps3.

I'm not sure how to transfer trophies, but I think it's just data transferring, or else you copy your game data from ps3 to ps3.

darn i need a way to sync trophies lol, hmmm, can the phat ps3 still play ps2 games? , or is there anyway to reactivate that part of the ps3?, the 80 gig model can emulate it so is it possable?, yet again sorry for all thw questions
