yea the only good hacks for ps3 are for firmware 3.55 and lower.

Ok well today I'm going to go to wal-mart or gamestop to get a new PS3 and mod it and through my research I here you can't go online with custom firmware correct? Although how do people host challenge lobbys for example mw2? Does the QA Flagg allow you to upgrade to a retail firmware?

they jailbreak there 3.55 or lower firmware ps3 put the patch on and then use data transfer and transfer the patch on the other ps3 which is on 3.66 so they can get online

get your ps3 at a crappy store that you wouldn't get a normal PS3 from. Gamestop likes to update theirs so where i got my 3.55 fw ps3 from is ToysRus cuz no one buys and they aren't a video game store so they won't update their ps3's. Just use jb on 3.55 althought that ps3 cant go online you can data transfer to another ps3 to bring your hacks online.
