edit: ok how bout this since this guy is from the uk or what ever can some one who has a 1.12 patch back up that patch then put a link on here so we can download dont know if it would work just throwing out some suggestions dont need to flame tryin to help.

I think that this is a 1.12 patch as it only has a few items so should work...

When you back up, all the data is transformed into files the PS3 can read to restore it in the future. And no files are straight up "patch_mp.ff". Just 'random' gibberish Sony and the PS3 would comprehend. Then again, there could be some people who can take this method to their advantage. But I highly doubt it would be released.

But honestly, I have no clue. I appreciate you asking us on our opinion rather than asking for a tutorial though.

as far as i'm aware... no it will not work this way otherwise it would have been posted 10000000000000xs :/ sorry for bad news.. and feel free to prove me wrong... just take notice you don't actually see him swap the patch neither did he show the fact he didn't have a patch on... or maybe it MIGHT be convincing IF he had deleted the mw2 patch then restored. you need 2 ps3s to apply mods to any game hope this helped

if it were true, not as many people would be whining about a new jailbreak to host mw2 lobbies, and you would have seen it. sorry.

I've done this before made a backup while on 3.55 then restored from it on 3.6X. Although there isn't anything you can do with this, as these backups are console specific; you can only restore from a backup made on your console. You can not restore from somebody else's backup. However, if this was cracked, then everybody could host.
