BEFORE STARTING THIS PLEASE READ! THIS IS NOT A 3.66CFW OR DOWNGRADE THIS TELLS YOU WHAT FIRMWARE YOU CAN DOWNGRADE TO WHEN A 3.66 DOWNGRADE IS POSSIBLE!

Noob Tutorial!

Requirements:

- USB Stick (Any)

- PS3 on firmware 3.66

- MinVerChk - download link: You must login or register to view this content.

Once you have MinVerChk, and your USB ready with you, head on over to your computer and plug in your USB. Once in the USB just like a normal PS3 update, make a "PS3" folder, then an "UPDATE" in the PS3 folder, then in the UPDATE folder put the PS3UPDAT.PUP in there from the MinVerChk and head over to your PS3. Plug the USB to your PS3 and go to System Update in the Settings tab, go to "Update via Removable Hardware" I think well its the second option so you will know, you will see a weird name thing press X and there should be an error it will say "Update data of version X.XX or later can be installed on this system. " the X.XX is the firmware you are able to downgrade to, I can go to 2.70 so I'm fine.

1 - Enter the MinVerChk in the Flash Drive, as if it were an upgrade.

2 - Insert the Flash Drive into the PS3.

3 - Install the update from XMB (This will fail and display the Firmware Base).

Wait a min can't you flash the update that you want on the PS3,even if its slim wich can be downgraded to 3,40 only,will it brick?

@Glover, This is just telling, That When a Downgrade comes, That Firmwire it should you thats the lowest you can go.
@Sergyu, You can't put any update, Witch ever update your Ps3 has, It has to be the same or Higher.

Yeah but it wouldn't be a problem since we can install the stuff from gitbrew and have otheros,even as a slim user
