I have a 3.66 OFW Original Fat 80GB PS3 and I found a 120GB Slim on 3.50 on Craigslist.

I was wondering 2 things,
1) If I find the 3.55 Firmware Link, can I put it on a flashdrive and update my 3.50 to 3.55?
and
2) Will all my stuff be erased? My 80GB has everything I've downloaded, such as Map Packs, updates, the works. First time using data transfer, so I need some help please

1) Yes, download whatever 3.55 firmware you want to use and place it on a USB in the following folder structure- root(removable disk _)/PS3/UPDATE/PS3UPDAT.PUP. Ensure you rename whatever firmware you download to PS3UPDAT.PUP.
2) Yes, unless you use a 3.66 spoof on Rebug 3.55.2 CFW to data transfer from OFW to CFW first, and then back again once you've made whatever changes you want(I assume modified patches).
