(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I just installed a SAMSUNG SpinPoint MT2 HM100UI 1TB 5400 RPM as an internal HDD in my PS3. Turns out the PS3 had formatted it with about 100gb in use. I have 823gb out of 931gb consumed on this freshly formatted drive. I understand the PS3 needs space to use for the console software but, on my stock 120gb(which was actually about 111gb) it only consumed about 9gb. Is there any way I can trim down any space? Maybe I should change something with the HDD on my PC before using it on the PS3? I won't be using PSN so if there's any bulk I can rid with a file manager, please let me know.

don't do anything may a full format on pc other than that after you put in ps3 everything configured you could cause a error missing around be happy with memory you got.

Well there must be a reason why 100gb is consumed on a 1tb and only 9gb to be consumed on a 120gb? Also, were you suggesting I perform a full format on my PC? No offense, I had a hard time understanding that.

Well, I've been told the PS3 always eats 12% of internal HDD capacity. That's a shame, well I'm happy with the memory I got but, too much memory ain't enough memory. Winky Winky
