i'm asking this cause someone gave me there info and when i tried to download from them it said 5 slots activated or whatever but i was sure i had another slot, does this mean the new guy already used his slots?

well if you deactivated his account then infamous 2 shouldnt work anymore. best way I know of checking how many slots are activated is to sign into psn here

it will show you how many ps3s are activated currently

if u share your info with 4 people including yourself then u have used 5 gameshares and your account cant be activated on any other ps3's unless 1 is deactivated

if u share somebody elses info to download dlc to your ps3 then u use 1 of there 5 slots
