When i bought my slim it was on 3.50 but that was 3 months ago. It really just depends where you buy it and when they got the shipment of Ps3's ( the older the shipment better = lower firmware ). Some people have reported buying Ps3's recently on 3.56 FW so that's just the chance you take buying a Ps3 this late.:y:

I found one in ebay. Jailbroken, cheap. Your best shot is ebay. Sony might not be selling one on 3.60 or lower.

Yeah, go with eBay. Otherwise at retail it's just touch and go, a matter of luck.

every ps3 i bought from walmart was on 3.21. If it's 3.56 or higher, just return it and try a different store.

like Diji said, you can try at wal-mart, gamestop, etc. for a ps3 FW 3.55 or lower. If you don't come across any, then refund and look again

if you buy from shop its 3.60 if you buy online they are usually 3.55
