First You need a ps3 on Firmware 3.55 or Lower and yes It´s secure to use Ftp Server on your ps3 :carling:

There is no reason to be rude, that is what a guy told me on the other forums i joined a while back, i was just asking to find out more about it before i do anything...

ergh, you wont go to jail ok, even geohot and all the big hackers havent even gone to jail :L they just had fines etc and taken to court

I just wanted to make sure i thought that guy was in jail or did they let him out? I don't know i did not follow his videos and stuff, i am not looking to install this FTP for bad things i was told i could install all kinds of things like Brew? it plays burnt games/apps or something, that's not what i want it for i would rather buy the game and support the maker.

I just want to be able to edit my save files so i can get a little help once in a while like extra cash on rdr or maybe my last trophy on dr2, i always felt like the save file protection was bs i paid for the ps3 i bought the game i should be able to edit it if i want, like i can edit borderlands.

So i think i will be ok, like you said they are dealing with dangerous hackers i am just a noob fish lol so i hope i wont have any "had fines etc and taken to court" issues.
Can you point me to a link with the best version of FTP i want to make sure i get the right version for my PS3 thanks.
