This is also the way i made my lag switch also if you would like to add me on ps3 it is Bkburger13 and i know you are able to press START and then Triangle but this is just an easier way and also it works for xbox. i followed the vid step by step but when i flip the switch it disconnects me from psn -.-
any idears ?

When you were cutting the wires did you seperate the orange and white one from the solid orange one then cut the solid orange one because that should work..

Sometimes it's not the orange wire, but the Green one. If this video failed to tell you that, then shame on the maker of the video. Go to this Thread:

one question do you plug the switch from the modem to the router? or directly to the console?

You plug the ethernet to modem to console
