Instructions aka 1-2-3 NFW (bitsbubba's Newbie Friendly Ware):
1. Format USB device FAT32
2. Place PS3UPDAT.PUP in x:/PS3/UPDATE
3. Install via XMB

Side Note: bitbubba's NFWactually should have been the first entry in our homebrew contest, but I was on vacation left my laptop in the other car, so it did not get reported on until later. By that time he was already starting to release NFW v2, so instead of getting separate release article, it was just pushed on top of the other article.

NFW v1 came spoofed and unspoofed, it is only right NFW v2 does the same. Enjoy these releases!

With the versions that come SPOOFED, the only way to revert back to another FW is though Recovery Menu.

so am i right in thinking we just put the ps3 update on our usb's with nothing else on it and install via the xmb?

went from rebug 3.55.2 > 3.55 OFW > to this.

Love it and the nicest package i've seen thus far for FW

see if i have a ps3 with 3.55 rebug and it has a brokn blue ray drive which means i need a cfw with blueray bypass if i update ... enyway cood i use this and go online ? even though it has a broken blue ray drive thankks

This DOES NOT allow online play

This is just a CFW with everything patched:
spoofed firmware:[Will not ask you to update games that require 3.55+ FW and should not accidentally update from 3.55 cfw to 3.70 ofw]

When playstation updated there firmware they added a new loin for the psn that requires yet another "key" - maybe once we have this and it can be worked into a patch then psn MIGHT be restored, but untill then - no psn.

they have also removed some of the menus and added a new one for easy install of packages...

Install:
3.55 CFW > Recovery menu > install 3.55 Official firmware > recovery menu > This .pup

How to access the recovery menu:
Hold power button on your ps3 until it turns off >
Hold the power button until u hear 2 beeps and let go

Will this allow me to go on PSN?

Does this mean we can play games that used 3.70 keys?
