Keep in mind, this will only enable retail signed packages to be installed via the “Install Package Files” option–unsigned package files/code will not install.

You’ll need the following items before your proceed with the installation:

E3 Flasher device
Two hard drives
Blackb0x FTP
E3 Flasher downgrade tool
Dev_flash dump for kiosk v4.00 (see download link below)
DO NOT ATTEMPT THIS UNLESS YOU HAVE A E3 FLASHER OR SIMILAR DEVICE TO DOWNGRADE YOUR PS3!

Tutorial:

Downgrade to 3.55 using the downgrade tools from e3
Once booted back into the xmb turn off the console
Swap hard drives turn on the system, press the PS button and you will be asked to reinstall the firmware
Place the pup file from the e3 downgrade tools in the normal PS3/UPDATE usb folder and follow the on-screen instructions to reinstall the firmware
Then install dev_blind.pkg & Blackb0x FTP from install packages
Run dev_blind then BlackB0x and FTP into the console
Goto /dev_blind delete everything and replace them with the files included in the download when finished copying
Press the ps button and the console should reboot and ask to reinstall the firmware again, switch off the console and swap the hard drive back
Turn on the console press the ps button twice
The console should boot back into 3.55 Rogero
Goto system update and install 4.00 OFW
Once installed turn the console off again and swap hard drives back and you should boot into a modified 4.00 kiosk firmware.

This is useless.. And if you all think that KaKaRoTo is going to release his way to sign things then you are all just so selfish because we all flamed him before and are now making him want us to suffer by keeping away from us what we all want! When CFW came out for PS3 it was like a drug.. We all HAD to have it!! But Sony dropped a nuke on it and *POOF* the whole thing went down in flames and the only person that could develop on it and out of the mist, that everyone is looking towards now is the person we flamed... So GOOD LUCK with getting ANYTHING from him that is 1. SIMPLE TO USE and 2. ACTUALLY GOING TO WORK...

Is it probable to just repack that firmware to share?

Very nice, To bad im selling my PS3 for $310 then ether saving money or down the line getting another new one slim then e3 flasher xD for about that much.

This pretty much is retail firmware btw, and no Kaka's jailbreak isn't via a dongle.

yea ik what it is my point was how he was uploading a pkg file so since its not by a dongle then he must be signing the files to enable install packages using the ndprm alg he hasnt figured out yet

He does but he ant sharing it , I think that his doing the right thing , if someone wants to hack the PS3 then learn to do it not wait and pressure a dev to do all the work , I dont care coz I have a 3.41 PS3 n thats all I need.

Yep thats it i got my 3.55 cfw ps3 so dont need bother with risk of trying out some ones 4.00 cfw its hassle i would just advise people buy a ps3 on 3.55 or lower because you can get a fat model ps3 on 3.55 or lower cheap..... 4.00 cfw would just get patched anyway and if you wanted keep cfw ps3 your have buy new one for online so work it out guys and just buy new ps3.

People flamed him with good reason, he lied about an exploit he clearly doesn't have. Why are we selfish looking for a jb? What reason are you here for? joolsno1killa is right, get your 2 ps3 setup while u still can, and enjoy the fruits of 3.55. there is no 4.0 cfw coming, maybe a jb with another dongle, but nothing like what we had in 3.55. I don't care about a single DEV period. deank is the only one who did it with class. Geohot, Math, karakato...all in it for the wrong reasons.
