Ok, so when I was analyzing the files of the 4.11 OFW, I had an idea. Now being me, a complete noob :n00b: I couldn't properly fulfill it. My idea is pretty basic. I Googled it but I didn't find anyone with it. Ok this is what it was:

When I saw the files in File_7.tar thought, "Why not put the PKGs you want in the update instead of unnecessary files like MULTI_CARD_FIRMWARE.pkg so that they'll install themselves with the update?" I already know you'd have to edit the file a good bit so it will actually work. I'm a bit noob when it comes to doing that.

Lets say the MULTI_CARD_FIRMWARE.pkg was only for the card reader on FAT systems. For SLIM systems, you could view details about the file that make it install, and then delete it. (Or keep it if wanted) and then get a pkg file you want like ComgenieAwesomeFilemanager.pkg, change the attributes etc, and rename it to MULTI_CARD_FIRMWARE.pkg and put that in instead of the normal one. It'd be awesome if someone tries this and it succeeded. The only reason I want a jailbreak is for a file manager to put custom patches and other things of the sort. <

I thought you were meaning about an external file rather than anything.

Ok, so I have a Phat PS3 500GB. I tried to backup MW2, and it worked... But strange things have been happening since:

MW2 doesn't always work on my 4.11 PS3 (No scratches or anything, it's flawless)
It never works on my 3.55 (4.11 Rebug PS3.) It says Game Quit: No Request Event.

I deleted multiMAN. I installed the BDEMU.PKG and some other ones I forgot the names of but started with BD.

Still, it doesn't work- on either. It work about an hour ago on my 4.11 PS3 but I quit it and it stopped working. It starts and goes to the spinning IW logo and closes. That happens on BOTH. All games besides from MW2 always work on both. Please help NGU!

I've also reinstalled Rebug. My PS3 worked on MW2 after uninstalling rebug and installing Kmeaw.

lol ik this is a old post but this would just self corrupt on load it wouldnt even install but there is a way to load backup files tho

What no. The big thing now is dongles. Now me being a lazy file reader I know that if the TB dongle is crack soon we will see the light of day which is interesting enough to prove the point that if we make a FW importing the TB reversed which will make a great CFW because True Blue will keep producing patches and everything and the devs will be right behind it. As you know the dongles are coming in one by one and lets face it CFW will provail. You have to have faith in the scene as messed up and ungreatful that we are.
