Ok, so when I was analyzing the files of the 4.11 OFW, I had an idea. Now being me, a complete noob :n00b: I couldn't properly fulfill it. My idea is pretty basic. I Googled it but I didn't find anyone with it. Ok this is what it was:
When I saw the files in File_7.tar thought, "Why not put the PKGs you want in the update instead of unnecessary files like MULTI_CARD_FIRMWARE.pkg so that they'll install themselves with the update?" I already know you'd have to edit the file a good bit so it will actually work. I'm a bit noob when it comes to doing that.
Lets say the MULTI_CARD_FIRMWARE.pkg was only for the card reader on FAT systems. For SLIM systems, you could view details about the file that make it install, and then delete it. (Or keep it if wanted) and then get a pkg file you want like ComgenieAwesomeFilemanager.pkg, change the attributes etc, and rename it to MULTI_CARD_FIRMWARE.pkg and put that in instead of the normal one. It'd be awesome if someone tries this and it succeeded. The only reason I want a jailbreak is for a file manager to put custom patches and other things of the sort. <

This will not work for three reasons
1. You cannot pack an update higher than 3.55 because nobody has the keys. You can unpack all you like.
2. You are getting rid of a piece of the firmware which would more than likely cause some internal damage to the system.
3. Even if you got the game installed on 4.11 firmware you could not run it becuase the game is specifically signed for 3.55 firmware. 4.11 Cannot run games signed for 3.55.

True.
1. -> Need DRM keys higher than 3.56 Firms. Can't unpack above that though.
2. -> I don't see what is "File_7".tar is... But if it's the dev_flash that was decrypted, then facepalm heh.
3. -> Not all games are signed for 3.55, but if you have the backup manager with 3.55, it cannot be used for any other firmwares that don't have the manager. It can be on your system all you want.

Already here. CFW isn't dead until no one cares about being a dev. Slim chance... I'm on 4.10, but before I repack a PUP, I need to know if NGU will cover me in case Sony creeps.

Backup manager. Rent games and put them on your PS3 then transfer to your comp. When you have all the games you want, buy the games, and put everything that is expensive on the 3.55 so you can sell it for a greater value. If not; learn to debug and such to mod games so you gain money from them by charging the people who join. Just my ideas since I'm a monetizing person I guess...
