this could mean Sony changed the codes because of the leaks from the past months like the CEX 2 DEX and the 3.60 EBOOT codes,
this could mean that, if there ever comes a jailbreak with the leaked 3.60 keys, it will be only on 3.60-4.21.
maybe if there come new games on later firmware they cant be decrypted.
also updates it a few things in the Dev_Flash but that are some ps2 emulator files.

this thread is to inform you about the next updates, maybe the next firmware update on a retail consoles also "updates" all the lv files
so watch out for an update higher than 4.21, like 4.25 or 4.30, it could contain this!
i should not update till there is any prove its safe to update etc

No problem i found this when i was googeling some thingz about the 3.60 keys

Cant say im surprized that Sony's resorted to that if its true, i hope good games get released before they incorporate this. It'll give us time to test and enjoy afew things while the scene regroups.

I would guess they can't take away Data Transfers, as people buy new PS3's and need to transfer their games onto their systems. It's the patches that would have to be worked on...

That's even if any of this "actually" goes down....

Haha yeah but i think my old 3.55 slim ps3 wants also to play the newer games and if it goes wrong i just turn on my flasher and back on 3.55.

And also i think its gettong time for a new jailbreak or unlock, but maybe like the last one ..... 5 years ifso we have to wait 3.5 more years guys XD

i believe a good method to do is flood the core os so that it can glitch *possible of bricking* but just b4 its about send/receive license key from Nor (Metldr) *yu have created n exploit now create a simple program which can redirect dumps on boot from pc to ps3 via ethernet port *is possible*. another method is on boot it has been stated that various get send to sony about your information such as mac adress console id psn id etc..b4 this process happens a checksum overides the nor (ram) to validate the license keys, with a mod chip yu can sniff out the keys rite away while this happens, a easy way how to get the npdrm keys as i explained earlier the ps3 itself has the keys there they are always being check , when press x to star a game (lv0, lv2, and npdrm) when going on multiplayer (npdrm) its a cycle *keys open door so that it can continue* again with a modchip u can sniff out what the ps3 stored memory like the ram does while in progress n just dump. good i hope my method helps

to be honest EVERYTHING is jailbreakable... its hard like it took people 6 years to do it but it will happen sooner or later

sony are putting all the work in but they could just stop data transferring and tht would be the end
