(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello NextGenUpdate Members. Today I'm bringing you the official release on how to hack Dead Island Online. So, let's get started.

Requirements:
3.55 PS3
A United Kingdom PS3 Account
£20 PSN Card (Or UK Credit Card)
4.20 (Online) PS3
Ethernet Cable

First off, make a United Kingdom account, if you do not have it already. You're going to need a way to get a £20+ PSN Card if you live anywhere but Europe.
Go into the PSN Store, while logged into your UK account. Go to the search bar, and type in: Dead Island
Purchase the Dead Island: Game of The Year Edition. (The only difference between the Game of The Year Edition, and the regular "Game" is that you receive all of the DLC + Game for a cheaper price)
Let that download and install.

Once that has finished, start the game, let the update install (if asked), and play around for a few minutes. This is just for precautions.

Now, power on both PS3's, if not already. On your 3.55 PS3 you're going to want to install the 9.99 Spoofer. Once that is finished, Data Transfer from 4.20+ to your 3.55.

Once that is finished, navigate to (assuming you have Blackb0x or and FTP way) dev_hdd0 > game > NPEB00721 > USRDIR > DI > and replace the Data0.pak file I will provide you with.

Exit out of your FTP Clients, and remove/uninstall the 9.99 Spoofer. Once that's finished, data transfer from 3.55 to 4.20+.

Upon starting Dead Island, you should see changes. At the menu, you should have an "L2 Start level R2" button. This is good/normal. If not, you've done something wrong. Load/Create a save, and once that is finished press Start.

You should see a new option! This option "Developer Menu List". Congratulations, you've successfully hacked Dead Island online.

I'm going to go over some of the basic's of the Developer Menu below:
Invoke Menu:
Allows you to teleport from mission to mission within the game.
Example: 00x04 is basically at the beginning of the game. 15x03 is further in the game.

Cheat Menu:
The cheat Menu consists of three Sub Menu's: Graphics, Player, and AI.
Graphics are self explanatory.
Player consists are variables and options for your character.
AI is a bit too complicated to explain at the moment.

AI Debug:
The AI Debug Menu consists of two Sub Menu's: Options and Selection.
I'm not going to explain these, as their Debug items, and you shouldn't really mess with it (unless you know what you're doing...)

Cheats Items Supply:

The Cheat Item Supply Menu consists of all of the items in the game. This varies from weapons, to environmental objects. You can select these options, and you will receive what you chose.

Player Progress Cheat Menu:

The Player Progress Cheat Menu is basically self explanatory. You can Level Up, Down, add XP, etc.

Player Variables/buffs cheat menu:

These are the player's variables, and buffs. I'm not going into explanation, because I'm not sure myself.

Collectables Cheat Screen:

This menu is where all of the collectables are. You have two options: Collected, and Not Collected. Those are pretty self explanatory. You can give yourself all of the collectables in this menu.

I'd like to give a special thanks to You must login or register to view this content. for helping me in making this a success. We're a team. We've been working on this for a long time, and we've discovered some other things on Dead Island. We've been holding out on releasing this, as I said, we've been looking for other things. Without him, this would of never been released. I may be explaining some of the other things we've found out later on.

Have fun, and do not over use this. I really don't want Dead Island turning into the next Modern Warfare 2.

i already have the dev menu installed on my 4.20 but wasn't sure if the mods where stored in the save or not
if so i would be happy to post the modded saves Smile

That would be AWESOME if you could post the modded saves because I do not have a 3.55 ps3 and cannot hack my dead island. If you do decide to post the saves, please put like the best items in the game on the save. That would be really awesome.

i think you have misunderstood what i was asking, i was asking if this method works on other games that have dev menus such as call of juarez, if so i have call of juarez bound in blood with a dev menu and would happily make some modded saves for ngu

It should be the same. Dead Island's saves are based from COJ2 Engine. (Chrome Engine 5). I'm not sure if it's in the PSN Store. If it's not, try to data transfer from 4.20+ to 3.55 and see if the files are there. If that's not there, and the PSN Store doesn't have it, you're out of luck unless you have a True Blue Dongle or a DEX Machine.

i already have bought from the store and data transfered from 4.20 to 3.55 put the dev menu in then back to 4.20 and it does have a coj2 folder in the user directory, so does this mean i could put mods on and they would be in the save the same as dead island?

What? If you've already bought it, and data transferred to 3.55... You should be able to see all of the game files as if it were a back up. From that your possibilities are endless as long as you know what you're doing, and the files aren't encrypted. I'd say from the Developer Menu, there's a lot of the possibilities in it.

yeah to be honest im pretty unsure as what to do with the files lol, i have search for some kind of .xml or .lua containing achievments but have found nothing all the dev menu can really do that aids you in anyway is "god mode" "magic ammo" and all weapons but im sure it would help people alot toward their platinums

I still don't understand what you're asking? Are you asking how to get achievements?

Nice to see this released although I already knew how to do this from xbox.
Good tut though.
This would Work for Call of Juarez Bound in Blood and I would think The Cartel aswell if you could install them.
