Steps:

  1. Turn on your Playstation 3 console.
  2. Go to settings on your PS3 console.
  3. Move down to the very bottom of settings and click on Network Settings.
  4. Go to Internet Connection Settings.
  5. Choose "Custom", scroll all the way to the right until you reach "Proxy Server".
  6. Choose "Use" Proxy Server.
  7. Enter "patch.bz" in the address bar.
  8. Enter "8080" in the port bar.
  9. Then scroll all the way to the right and hit X.
  10. Login to the Playstion Network.
  11. Delete the gamedata of your game of choice.
  12. Begin playing your game of choice.

Okay seriously can someone actually comment who has recently checked it. All I see is posts of people saying thanks but not confirming this thing. I changed my internet settings and did everything correctly but still get :Failed on psn and it says software update required.

because he is on a ps3 that is on new 4.21 FW meaning this would be pointless unless you wanna be on a certain patch online. he does not show his FW on 3.55 and you see blackbox becuase of the DATA TRANSFER so in all it is pointless this does not give you online from what i can see nor does he say it does.

Woops confusion. Should've stated 4.21+ in the title because this was the exact same bypass for 3.55 sometime ago.
