You actually think Japan has ANY authority in China? You actually think China is going to hand over one of it's citizens? The countries are incredibly close to going to war at the moment, let alone worry about someone hacking a ps3. Somehow, I think they have no chance of being sued.

Sony Computer Entertainment is an International company, therefore having branches in many countries including China, Japan, and obviously the United States. I figure if they were to file a lawsuit that it would be governed by International courts, not China's or Japan's.

There is no such thing as an international court. There exists only 2 international courts and they are; 1) The Hague - The War Crime Court 2) The EU courts - jurisdiction only applies to countries in the EU.

If Sony wanted to sue an individual from China who lives in China, they must either A) File the lawsuit in China and attempt to prosecute them under Chinese Law B) Request Extradition to face trial Japan (or the country it files the lawsuit in).
