Ok everyone was getting pretty hipped up for the 3.41 long distance data transfer. Here is a good way to get u basically a cfw while being on the newest ofw. Ok everyone one knows that people have the lvl 0 codes well, how about we make some homebrew apps that support the latest ofw. Of course you wont be able to run it on a 3.41 ps3 but when u do a long distance data transfer to a friend he will be on the newest ofw and can run the apps without the use of a cfw. I dont know how the codes and everything work with a ps3 cfw it might not even be runnable unless you are on a cfw. If that statement is true ill edit this thread and remove this paragraph.

Ok everyone was getting pretty thrilled about the past shop firmwares with the install package files feature. But it was not usable cus we didint have the codes to sign a pkg file to that update.
People now have those codes and can make a pkg file for the latest update and im sure if it wasent to hard back then it wont be to hard to get the latest shop firmware then everyone can run homebrew without the need of someone to make a whole new cfw witch can take a while or else we would already have it.

These are just my ideas i dont know if any of them are even possible but i think some people who works on this stuff might see this thread and test out my ideas and maybe we will be running homebrew before you know it!

for long distance transfer u need to be @ 3.41 x) u cant transfr with later fw's so 1st option not possible

No offense but that dosent make sense if you have to have 2 ps3s thats on 3.41 whats the poingt and doing the transfer, from what i heard is you need 1 person on a 3.41 ps3 transferring to your 4.30 ps3.

if only 1 ps3 has to be on 3.41 then why can 2 ps3s at 4.30 not connect to eachother??

one option one will not work when you create the cfw it will not run homebrew on a ofw system even being signed by keys the ofw is not enabled to run them , and im pretty sure kiosk fw uses different keys not an issue but you still have the issue of flashing none signed fw on your system , advice wait for the devs to bypass the flashing part and actually fully xploit the fw and rewrite system functions like it needs done 4.xxcfw thats out now doesnt have these system functions fixed give it a few months and you will almost surely see a cfw you can install over 4.xx ofw

whats the point and get transfered to if you have a 3.41 ps3 yourself you could just get a cfw then have fun!
