Once I was done, I 'Fix Permissions' and Loaded the game. I was welcomed with a message confirming "not to turn off ps3 because of autosave feature' and from there when I press 'OK' it just stays at a black screen. I read online your supposed to have the 3.55 EBOOT and PARAM fix. But once I download those files and go to the following directory
dev_hdd0 > GAMES > BLUS31026-[Dead Island] for the PARAM file
and
dev_hdd0 > GAMES > BLUS31026-[Dead Island] > USRDIR for the EBOOT file and replace them in the directories.
Once that was done and I launched the game i got an error this time, error 800010007. What should I do? Im on rebug 4.21.1 dex

You put a 3.55 fix for your 4.21.1 rebug. You don't need a fix for it. Try deleting your Dead Island game data and updating from multiMAN. Let me know what happens.

i had problems also before with rebug and the error code 80010009 but the code means you need to resign your eboot for 4.21 then it works and got no problems. otherwise install the latest Multiman it fixes your param and eboot

Deleted game through mm, and updated multiman.. still same black screen error

yes, used a resigner. and transferred eboot and set BD Mirror and Internal on. it worked like a charm
