(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello all, I've made a terrible mistake of installing Rogero 4.30 CFW. I am trying to go to 4.21 Rebug, but I can't because of a defect in Rogero's CFW.

I've tried many things, such as 9.99 downgrader, OtherOS, and 3.55 OFW. Every time that I try to install any CFW over Rogero 4.30, I get an error message saying "The data is corrupted"
Is there anything I can do to get to 4.21 Rebug from Rogero 4.30?

sounds like the .pup file you have is corrupted. try to get another one from the rebug.me website. but you have to go back to 3.55 first then go to 4.21.2 rex

Boot into recovery, install 999 downgrader, then 3.55 ofw, then the 3.55 rebug then 4.21 rebug :p

I've tried that, when I try to install it from the recovery mode it says "No applicable update data was found. Connect a storafe media that contains update data of version 4.30 or later, and then press the START and SELECT buttons at the same time"

Yet when I try to install from XMB, it works perfect until it tries to install, and then it says it's corrupted.
Also, some information that may play a part?:
I was on 3.55.2 Rebug. I enabled QA Flag. I updated to Rogero 4.21. I updated to Rogero 4.31. Now I'm stuck.

I don't think that's the problem, as I've downloaded it three times now (I thought that too).

No, I'm stuck on Rogero 4.30 CFW. This is what happened:
I was on 3.55.2 REBUG. I enabled QA Flag to go to Rogero 4.21 (for PSN access). I updated to Rogero 4.21. Rogero came out with 4.30 CFW, so I updated to it, which I am now regretting updating.

Whenever I try to install any CFW, including the 9.99 Downgrader from REBUG it will not install.
If I try to install them from XMB: It was work perfectly until it gets to the actual installing part. It will then say "The data is corrupt".
If I try to install them from Recovery Menu: It doesn't work at all. It says that there is no applicable data found.

I think you can only downgrade if you go from Rogero V3.7, up to what ever firmware. Here this is the site that I use when I want to downgrade. Scroll down and you will eventually see downgrading steps etc. You must login or register to view this content.

Basically, unless you have an E3 Flasher. You were suppose to go back down to 3.55 ofw, then get on Rogero V3.7, and then go to your firmware you want from there.

Agree i did everything from this site and now im rebug 4.21

- Downgrading back to 3.55 is always possible using the following steps :
- Download the Downgrader PUP ---> You must login or register to view this content.
...Size 176MB (184,595,263 bytes) MD5: 49d80e07fc1f5ca1b0840e02e94635db
- Rename the downloaded file to "PS3UPDAT.PUP" and put it on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP"
- While on Rogero CFW4.30, go to System Update from XMB and install the Downgrader PUP.
- After the Downgrader PUP installs you'll be on a hybrid CFW3.55 that will still shows the spoofed ver4.21 from system settings.
- In case you didn't have it Set Before, Enable QA flag by following these steps:

1- Download the Rebug QA_Toggle package from You must login or register to view this content.
2- Put the "toggle_qa.pkg" on USB and Install it on the PS3.
3- Run the "Rebug Toggle QA" from XMB, the screen will go Black and you will see HDD Led activity then if all went fine you will hear 2 or 3 Beeps and the PS3 will Restart back to XMB.
4- If you want to make sure QA flag was set, go to "Network Settings" then apply the following key combo (all at the same time):

L1 + L2 + L3 (press left stick) + R1 + R2 + dpad_down

You should see Edy Viewer, Debug Settings, and Install Package Files if done correctly.

- Now put "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" on your USB in: "USB\PS3\UPDATE\PS3UPDAT.PUP" ---> You must login or register to view this content.
- Start the PS3 and install "Rogero CEX-3.55 CFW V3.7" using the System Update from XMB.
- Once you're back on Rogero CFW3.55 v3.7 you can now install any CFW 3.55/4.21/4.30 using the System Update from XMB.

This CFW was the result of the combined efforts and perseverance of many talented coders and FRIENDS,
I would like to thank every single one of you guys who worked with me for the last week while researching, coding the needed tools
and testing for many sleepless nights to make sure we have a good reliable and very stable CFW for everyone in the PS3 scene to enjoy.
Now we can get some rest and get back to our lives, I believe this CFW is now good enough and I won't be updating it anytime soon,
it was a fun ride indeed working on it with you guys.
Thank you all.

Well, currently, I'm on 4.21 thanks to your link. I'm downloading Rogero v3.7 right now, and following the instructions to revert back to any CFW. Much appreciated. Have some +rep :fa:
