I defeated!
Have a Account With Password Saved But You Cant Remember What The Hell it is ??
I had just figured this out and It's really simple and i havn't seen it anywhere and thought i'd post it as it mite help sumone out
Requirements
- Multiman ( or FTP Server for ps3 cfw )
- Filezilla or equivelent FTP client for your computer
- CFW Ps3 ( i had theory u could maybe datatransfer to ur cfw however i think it erases saved passwords so it wont work )
Also you will need an account on the ps3 that has [x] Remember Password ... as this stores it in non-encrypted text in a file in ur ps3
What to Do
Ok its pretty Simple,
You Wannna open multiman on ps3, and Filezilla on your computer, Connect them up, Then goto This Directory in ur ps3: /dev_flash2/etc/xRegistry.sys
Copy it to your desktop and or Just Click View/Edit In Filezilla
open the xRegistry.sys file with a Simple Text Editor like notepad.exe
To find the password mite take a little looking but it will not be to hard,
if u had a rough idea of wat the password was and or the account email ( Easy to find cause it shows when you goto sign in... ) press Ctrl+F in notepad to Search or you can just scroll through the file You will eventualy See some account emails that are on the CFW ps3 and Close by that text Is The password associated with the account in plain text next to sum other forgein charecters
