You can change the <Version>03.5500</Version> to whatever! I will be adding more stuff to this.... this is a basic install pkg folder function! Then encrypt this!
You need to add a folder called modules and vsh to the root of PS3UPDAT.PUP
Then add the UPL.xml.pkg file to the modules folder....
Then download this secure file and add it to the vsh folder: You must login or register to view this content.
Then you repack the CFW and install!!! If you mod this anyway BE CAREFUL! You could do it so it has syntax and your PS3 could brick!

thx for sharing; i dont get it though. From what i understood u need some files and programs to create your cfw; but can u then use it on any ofw?
Dude i dont know what this is all about; i've never done this before, even if i did install come cfws. could u please make a video?

Making a CFW is not by MFW builder..... MFW builder just modifies it, it doesnt create your own... Thanks for the notice though

sure..you can make your own cfw with mfw builder..put a ofw on it and them mod it..you can do everythink with mfw..only you need is know how..

if you want to do it from scratch and mod one yourself learn coding reverse engineer learn a way to disable ecsda checks get failoverflow tools and .ps3 keys files use linux windows and cgywin is crap way mfw is the easy way its done in one go.if you want to learn the proper way its not that simple to do it.

Old method as in 2 years ago. Yes their is a chance of boot loops along with bricks.
