Unfortunately, the methods on how to do this are quite the difficult ones, and may require the skill to be able to do so. This method means having the disc cover left open. Its quite similar to what was done to the Fat PS3′s back in 2007 to get them to run PS2 disc based backups. As shown it is a risky process as you may damage the spindle inside the PS3 while making the quick swap.
