(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); OK I have just ordered the GameGenie from the GameGenie EU website, yeah I know there is an issue with the European version.. but I have an Xploder, 2 licences actually.. one I bought from Xploder directly and another I got from donating here, I use one on my laptop and one on my desktop, and just wanted to test the GameGenie out too

ANYWAY...

question.. who uses the GameGenie? I used to hack codes on the PS1 on the Xplorer (Now renamed Xploder) way back in the days of Gran Turismo 1 and 2, Hybrid cars taking engines out of one car and dumping it in another, turning a mini into a 4 wheel drive etc. but with the PS2 and the end of hacking games like that I stopped editing Playstation games, havent stopped totally though as I have been editing PC game saves.

I see that gameGenie uses a set list of tick boxes for applying edits to your own game saves and does have a resign ability (which I am not going to use, I will stick to the Xploder for that!) but what interests me is the Advanced Edit mode on it.. it apparently opens up encrypted game saves, decrypts them, and allows you to hex edit them, then re-encrypts them so they will then work on your ps3! This sounded worth the money I paid for the GameGenie. Curious who has actually used this advanced edit. Also I read something about it only supporting certain games.. games they have decided to try to decrypt. Either way.. does anyone have personal experience with this device? Like I said I have just ordered it so it will be in the post right now so dont have it yet. I was just looking to read up on it and talk to people that have experience with this specific tool already before it arrives in the post.

you can actualy to that for free with "bruteforce savedata" you can encrypt the saves,edit it with hxD and decrypt it and then put it back on your ps3.

the only thing what i can say is brutforce is much better and its up to date (gg updats only on friday but not ever ) but gg is a good tool for guys they have no interssting in hacking save by yourself

I just use Aldo's Tool's BruteForce Save data.

What Aldo does is he just takes all of the cheats from GameGenie and adds it into his program. He get's all of the cheats off GameGenie and his program is free.

I git the program you both mentioned and it says I need to input my console ID in.. how exactly do I locate this number?

I never had to input my consile ID..

When I downloaded the BruteforceSaveData file it had two files in it, one was the exe and another was simply

IMPORTANT - You must add your console_id to global.conf

But from searching the net.. the only way you can retrieve that is running CFW, I run OFW.. if I ran CFW then I wouldnt even need the tool to start with as I could use hacked PKG files..

when you have a cfw or use the saves for your own you dont need the console_id

Exactly!! But I run OFW so DO need my console ID

no for what when you use the saves for yourself you dont need it and btw when you load a save from your ofw in brutforce it will show you the console id and the user id
