(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hello fellow NGUer's,

After having a chat with a few people I have come up with a somewhat ingenious way of infini-booting your Playstation 3's firmware. (Original idea has been around since the 70's but hasn't exactly been applied to the PS3). It involves attaching a 56 pin TSOP clip to the PS3's NOR flash (will also work for NAND, you just need a 48pin clip and two of them) and then soldering to an external (outside the console) 56 pin TSOP socket. Because this is a socket, you are able to take NOR flash chips in and out of it. You will however need a switch to determine whether to use the stock NOR flash inside the console or the NOR flash which is in the socket. This is called piggybacking but it is somewhat modified to the 'usual' way it is done (not very often done on PS3's anyway). The downside of this is that you will need a different HDD for each flash that you have. Yes I know this is similar to the way the E3 flasher does it, but have some creativity and a willingness to learn and not rely on pre made programs and what not.

I have made a diagram to explain it for those who are confused.

I have no need to use cad for such a simple diagram.

This however, is an inexpensive way to have as many different firmwares as you want. Everybody these days lacks creativity and relys on programs to do things for them.
