Hello NGU, today i tell you guys "HOW TO IMPROVE THE TV QUALITY OF YOUR PS3"
First you must go on the PS3 XMB menu to
"Settings" tab then to "Video settings"
and make the following settings!
(Which is to be set is in Green)

Video Settings:

♦ BD / DVD Cinema Conversion:
Automatically | Video
why not "video"?
Video blocked in cinema DVD movie mode and the results are flicker.

♦ BD / DVD Upscaler:
Full Screen | Off | Double Scale | Normal
Originally posted by another user
the "Double Scale" means overscan zoom in the video signal with Imagecut with DVDs.
if it is set to "Normal" then when upscaling DVDs are issued with sidebars in 4:3 format
and not, as in "full screen" mode to full width
when set to "off" then you blocked the upscaling of DVDs to 1080p then what you get is 480p or 576p (and who wants that?)

♦ BD / DVD Video Output Format (HDMI):
Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr | RGB | Auto
Only with the "Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr", the PS3 ultra black, ultra white output (however, see below more).

♦ BD 1080p 24 Hz Output (HDMI):
Automatically | Off | On
when set to "On", the 24 Hz output is forced.
new displays and projectors should be set to automatically to 24p playback
(Most BluRay players have not always Enforceable 24p output as the PS3)

♦ 50 Hz Video Output:
Automatically | 50 Hz
"50 Hz" is set then for example Issued PAL AVCHD video from camcorders with 50 Hz instead of 60 Hz
But do not panic BR NTSC or DVDs are not affected

Display Settings:

♦ RGB Full Range (HDMI):
Limited | full
ONLY in the "Limited" is the PS3 RGB signals via HDMI with correct level for standard Black (Dig16) and standard white (Dig235) from
being at "full", the RGB output signals are suitable for PC's monitor! Norm 1 and Norm Black White 254!
Ultra black and ultra white in RGB are not supported by the PS3 anyway.

♦ Y Pb/Cb Pr/Cr Super-White (HDMI):
Off | On
and since we are at the point from above
Ultra Black (BTB = blacker than black) and ultra-white (WTW = whiter than white) video content
can only in "Super-White on" and set in Automatic or Manual YCbCr color space HDMI output
Only then can you recognize Ultra Black and Ultra White

Optional:
In addition I have upload a TESTIMAGE which you have to push on your PS3!
(See further down! That is forming in 1.920×1.080)
So USB STICK, memory card, or just different as you want
then you must invoke this image with your PS3
and on the LCD / plasma screen's brightness control while turning
gradations until you have the whole black area (the left bar but should be properly Black)!
and then you have the display set to the BluRays and Co are looking great to see!
