Please don't groan this because I haven't seen other posts about this & I've seen people asking for help on it. Even if it's somewhere else, shouldn't it be more places for more people to see?

Anyways, this error happens when in the command window step if you're using DEREKTROTTER's tutorial. You should have this step all done & the files like this...

Now when you open the command window & type in

    c2d.exe eid_key_file.bin in_flash.bin out_flash.bin [target_id]

you would get this in your command window...

Now I got this my first time & nobody could help me. I was stuck for awhile on it. It really bugged me. When I checked the file properties, I noticed something. The file types would would be .bin.bin. There'd be 2 file types.

I thought if I could fix that it would solve my problem... it sure did. Here's what you do. Go to "Control Panel" > "Folder Options" > "View" > Then uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and apply it.



Now if you go to your c2d folder with flashCEX.bin & eid_root_key.bin , the files will have .bin.bin on it. Just rename them each to have one .bin extension. Now go to your command window & re-do the process!

There you go! Now just finish DEREKTROTTER's tutorial and you'll be on DEX. Any more questions? Quote me here & I'll answer, happily :vince:

Good tutorial, maybe add a line in about redumping a couple of times to make sure it isn't a bad dump. Also, why not use the CEX2DEX application, it is the same exact thing only without the command prompt? Like the one Choco recommended in his tutorial WHICH SHOULD BE STICKIED!!!!!! But that's just me, like his way better but Rebug way is nice too.
